Hello!
My name is Pham Vo Quang Dai, and I am currently the Director of IFRS Division at Crowe Vietnam. With more than 12 years of experience, I have built a solid foundation in accounting, auditing and financial advisory, with a particular focus on advising on the conversion of financial statements from Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), serving both domestic enterprises and multinational groups operating across a wide range of industries.
I joined Crowe Vietnam in 2013 and have taken on a number of important professional roles. Today, I am responsible for developing the IFRS Services practice, being directly involved in IFRS conversion advisory engagements, the consolidation of financial statements under IFRS and the review of financial statements under IFRS, as well as delivering IFRS training for both clients and internal staff.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, and I currently hold several domestic and international professional qualifications, including ACCA (United Kingdom) and CPA Vietnam. I am also a member of the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA).
I have provided a diverse range of services from advising on the conversion and consolidation of financial statements under VAS and IFRS, to audit and assurance, financial due diligence and special reviews for clients ranging from FDI enterprises, listed companies and state-owned enterprises to privately held businesses, across industries such as real estate, manufacturing, trading and distribution, construction, technology and telecommunications, and services.

I was responsible for the overall management of a financial statement conversion project from Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for a large listed state-owned corporation operating in the oil and gas sector, with total assets exceeding VND 35 trillion.
As part of the project, I directly assessed the material differences between VAS and IFRS, determined the scope of the conversion and developed an implementation roadmap tailored to the client’s business operations. I also contributed to the development of IFRS accounting policies, an IFRS chart of accounts, and templates for both separate and consolidated IFRS financial statements.
In addition, I participated in designing the training content and directly delivered IFRS training programmes to the client’s finance and accounting teams. The training focused on standards with the most significant impact on the conversion and their practical application to the specific characteristics of the oil and gas industry.
I was also responsible for calculating and preparing IFRS conversion adjustments for relevant financial statement items; preparing the opening statement of financial position; preparing reconciliations of equity and total comprehensive income between VAS and IFRS; and completing the separate and consolidated IFRS financial statements together with the full set of accompanying disclosures.
I participated in a financial due diligence engagement in connection with a financing transaction involving a listed construction group with total assets exceeding VND 15 trillion.
The scope of work included analysing the quality of earnings and normalised EBITDA; assessing the composition and sustainability of revenue; reviewing the quality of assets and capital structure; and analysing working capital, net debt, capital commitments and potential off-balance-sheet obligations.
I also contributed to identifying material financial, accounting and tax risks, consolidating the key findings and assessing their potential impacts to support the lender’s decision-making process.
In addition to this engagement, I have participated in financial due diligence projects for a number of companies operating in the manufacturing, services and construction sectors. These engagements focused on assessing the quality of earnings, financial position, cash-generating capacity and potential financial obligations.
