My name is Vu Dinh Thiem, and I am currently serving as Director of Audit & Assurance at Crowe Vietnam. With over 15 years of specialized experience in audit and financial advisory, I am committed to supporting clients in enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring transparency in financial reporting.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Auditing, and I am a member of both the Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA) and the Vietnam Tax Consultants’ Association (VTCA). I also hold CPA and CTA Vietnam certifications issued by the Ministry of Finance.
Throughout my career, I have delivered a wide range of professional services, including:
Audit & Assurance, Internal Audit, Advisory on Accounting and Internal Control Processes, Preparation of Financial Statements under VAS and IFRS, Development of Standard Operating Procedures, and Business Process Review and Improvement.
My client base ranges from medium-sized enterprises to large corporations, including many multinational companies, foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises, as well as listed and state-owned enterprises in Vietnam, across a wide range of industries. I served as the engagement partner responsible for the overall audit of the following notable clients. I was directly involved in audit planning, overall risk assessment, scoping and resource allocation, supervision of audit teams, client communication on audit findings, and signing of audit reports.
- Several Vietnamese listed companies operating in wood processing, construction of buildings and office towers, and logistics, with workforce sizes ranging from hundreds to several thousand employees.
- Multiple subsidiaries of large multinational groups listed on stock exchanges in Germany, the UK, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, established in Vietnam for the purpose of manufacturing and processing electronic components, garments, auto parts, as well as providing hospital and healthcare services, with employee counts from hundreds to thousands.
- Numerous foreign-invested subsidiaries established in Vietnam to conduct business in various sectors including manufacturing, trading, education, real estate, construction, and food & beverage.
- Several 3- to 4-star hotels managed by internationally recognized hospitality brands.
- An educational group operating primary, secondary, and university-level schools, serving thousands of students.

Financial Due Diligence: I have participated in several in-depth financial due diligence projects to support the Buyer’s decision-making process in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) transactions.
Accounting Training: I have delivered training programs for various clients on the topic:
“Key Differences between Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and the Roadmap toward IFRS Adoption.”
These training sessions have enabled many clients to identify specific differences relevant to their businesses, gain a clear understanding of the underlying concepts, and define appropriate roadmaps and action plans for their future IFRS transition.
Internal Control and Process Advisory: I have supported several clients in designing, building, and assessing the effectiveness of their internal processes and control systems, and provided practical recommendations to improve weaknesses in their internal control frameworks.
