Greetings!

My name is Nguyen Le Thao Phuong, and I am currently a Senior Manager of Tax & Advisory at Crowe Vietnam. With nearly 15 years of specialized experience in tax, accounting, and business advisory, I have supported a wide range of clients both local and international from SMEs to multinational corporations operating in Vietnam.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Auditing from the University of Economics and Law, and a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City. I also possess the Vietnam Certified Public Accountant (CPA Vietnam) and Vietnam Certified Tax Advisor (CTA Vietnam) certifications issued by the Ministry of Finance.

In my current role, I directly lead tax advisory and regulatory compliance services, including: tax consulting, foreign investment support, investment planning and structuring, M&A transactions, divestment solutions, and strategic financial advisory. I also provide services in transfer pricing, tax due diligence, tax dispute resolution and defense, and tax audit support.
Additionally, I oversee outsourced accounting services covering bookkeeping, accounting system reviews, accounting software consulting, and payroll management.

I have served a wide spectrum of businesses from foreign-invested enterprises (FIEs) and private companies to listed and state-owned enterprises across various sectors including: manufacturing, distribution, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, chemicals, hospitality, real estate, transportation, technology, and software development.

I served as the engagement partner responsible for the overall audit of the following notable clients. I was directly involved in audit planning, overall risk assessment, scoping and team assignment, supervising the audit execution, communicating audit findings with the client, and signing the audit report.

A foreign-invested company specializing in the manufacturing of electronic components, supplying to major global brands such as Panasonic, Sony, Sanyo, Sharp, etc.
Participated in the audit team for a Taiwanese-invested enterprise specializing in the production of synthetic fibers, yarn, nylon, and plastics, which is one of the subsidiaries of a major group headquartered in Taiwan.
A company manufacturing aluminum alloy products, including chair bases, motor casings, and motorcycle parts, supplying to major brands such as Suzuki, SYM, Toshiba, Piaggio, Mitsubishi, and others.

Participated in the transfer pricing practice since its early stages, providing documentation and advisory services to various foreign-invested enterprises (FIEs) on transfer pricing issues, including market price determination.

Accompanied clients in explanations and disputes with tax authorities for companies operating in manufacturing and distribution sectors, such as garments, electronics, furniture, services, mechanical engineering, and chemicals, among others.

Review of Tax Reports and Supporting Documents Prior to Tax Authority Inspection: Clients engaged our services to conduct a full review of their tax reports and accounting documents to ensure timely adjustments in line with the prevailing tax regulations.

The purpose of this service is to minimize the risk of tax non-compliance during future inspections and to give clients peace of mind that they will not incur additional tax penalties or serious sanctions that could negatively impact their reputation.
