Greetings!

My name is Pham Manh Tuan, and I am currently serving as a Audit Senior Manager at Crowe Vietnam. In this role, I am responsible for managing, coordinating, and ensuring the quality of audit services, while also supporting clients in developing tailored solutions to manage risks and enhance governance efficiency.

With over 11 years of experience in audit, tax, and business advisory, I have had the opportunity to work alongside numerous multinational and local clients across industries such as manufacturing, distribution, education, real estate, technology, and more. Prior to joining Crowe Vietnam in 2016, I gained valuable experience at several reputable audit firms, which helped me develop extensive expertise in both Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Beyond audit engagements, I have also been actively involved in a wide range of professional services including internal control reviews, due diligence, and tax advisory. I am particularly recognized for my in-depth knowledge of Vietnam’s tax regulations, investment framework, and accounting and auditing standards areas that are constantly evolving and require continuous updates.

With a strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and dedication, I look forward to continuing to accompany clients in delivering practical value and contributing to the sustainable growth of their businesses.

The professional services I have participated in or directly managed include: Independent Audit, Financial Statement Review, Agreed-Upon Procedures, Due Diligence, Internal Control System Review, as well as Tax Advisory and Accounting Advisory for management and investment purposes.

My client portfolio covers a wide range of businesses, from small and medium-sized enterprises to large corporations, with a particular focus on medium and large-sized companies, including many multinational clients.

Most of my clients are foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises, especially those from Japan and Europe, alongside Vietnamese companies with various forms of ownership (private, listed, and state-owned).

The industries I have worked with are highly diverse, including manufacturing, e-commerce, healthcare and hospitals, software, construction, education and schools, real estate, hospitality and tourism, banking, as well as non-profit projects (NGOs).

I serve as the Audit Manager/Project Leader responsible for overseeing the entire audit process for the representative clients listed below. My role involves directly participating in audit planning, overall risk assessment, audit strategy development, assignment and supervision of the audit team, communicating audit findings with clients, and signing audit reports.

– Education & Training: An Australian-founded international university operating in Vietnam for over 25 years, with more than 12,000 students enrolled. The institution offers programs ranging from college, undergraduate to master’s degrees, is globally recognized, and operates two campuses in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

– Energy: A Japanese-owned energy company in Vietnam specializing in renewable biomass energy, with projects in power plants, energy transition, and a regional decarbonization research hub in Southeast Asia. The group operates on a global scale with several hundred employees and annual revenues exceeding USD 1 billion.

– Textiles & Footwear: A Korean industrial conglomerate established in the 1950s, specializing in synthetic fibers, textiles, and footwear. It has a major presence in Vietnam with factories in a special economic zone, creating over 16,000 jobs and generating approximately USD 220 million in annual revenue, supplying products to global sportswear brands.

– Transportation & Financial Services: A leading Southeast Asian super-app platform established in Vietnam in 2014, offering ride-hailing, delivery, cashless payments, insurance, and top-up services. It leads user adoption across generations and reports strong quarterly growth with revenues reaching hundreds of millions of USD.

– Hospitality & Real Estate: A Japanese-inspired spa resort in Da Nang covering 13 hectares, featuring a 5-star hotel, water park, hot springs, and authentic Japanese cultural experiences, with premium amenities such as spacious suites and panoramic sea views.

– Toy Manufacturing: A toy manufacturing company in Da Nang, part of a global group specializing in OEM production of plastic toys, die-cast metal toys, and plush products with vertically integrated processes. The group employs around 5,600 staff worldwide, focuses on exports, and generates several million USD in revenue.

– Steel & Trading: A steel trading and investment company in Vietnam, operating as a joint venture with a Japanese conglomerate. It specializes in processing and distributing flat steel for supporting industries such as electronics and automotive, with annual revenues of several hundred million USD, factories in Hanoi and Da Nang, and a nationwide distribution network.

– Household Appliances: A Japanese-origin brand with over 100 years of history, operating in Vietnam through retail distribution. It specializes in premium kitchen knives and household tools made with advanced technology and anti-rust materials, catering to both professional chefs and households.

I have taken on the role of Manager and Engagement Leader for the following representative projects. I provide clients with services such as internal control reviews, including evaluating process effectiveness, identifying risks, and recommending improvements.

In due diligence, I analyze financial statements and assess operational performance to support investment decisions. I also advise on tax matters, conduct compliance reviews, and optimize tax expenses in line with regulations. In addition, I guide companies in transitioning to and adopting IFRS.

– Automotive Components: A subsidiary of a Korean conglomerate specializing in vehicle door systems, established in Vietnam in 2018. The company focuses on manufacturing auto parts such as door latches, hinges, and related components, located in a major industrial zone in Hai Phong.

– Household Appliances: A Vietnamese group founded in 2003, specializing in water purifiers, kitchen appliances, and health-related household products. With over 2,000 employees and revenue of approximately VND 2,600 billion in 2022, the company leads the domestic market and operates a joint venture with a Japanese partner.

– Technology & Design: A Japan-based digital creative studio established in 2013, with a strong presence in Vietnam through offices in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. The company provides technology, design, and talent services, employing around 1,500 staff and generating nearly USD 100 million in annual revenue.

– IT Services: A Vietnamese company specializing in global software consulting and development, founded in 2011 in Hanoi. With more than 1,300 employees, including IT and AI experts, the company achieved around USD 25 million in revenue in 2023 and has established an international footprint through overseas branches.
