Greetings!

My name is Tran Thi Gia Ngoc, and I am currently serving as Audit Associate Partner at Crowe Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh City Office. In this role, I am responsible for organizing, managing, and expanding our Audit & Assurance services to support clients in operating efficiently, remaining compliant, and achieving sustainable growth.

I hold dual Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting & Auditing and Economic Law from the University of Economics and Law – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City. I am a member of VACPA, VTCA, and the U.S. Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), and hold the following certifications: CPA Vietnam, CTA Vietnam, and CMA (U.S.).

Since joining Crowe Vietnam in 2010, I have accumulated over 10 years of specialized experience in audit, tax advisory, and business process improvement. My service portfolio includes:
Audit & Assurance, Internal Audit, Advisory on Accounting and Internal Control Processes, Financial Reporting under VAS – IFRS, Costing Method Advisory, and Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

I have worked with a diverse range of clients from small to medium-sized enterprises, including many multinational corporations and foreign-invested enterprises (FDIs), as well as private, listed, and state-owned enterprises. My clients span various industries such as manufacturing, food & beverage, education, financial services, real estate, construction, technology, and telecommunications.

As the Engagement Partner (or Audit Lead), I held overall responsibility for the audit engagements listed below. My core responsibilities included strategic audit planning, comprehensive risk assessment, team supervision, leading discussions on audit findings with client management, and signing the independent audit reports.

  • A subsidiary of a major Southeast Asian conglomerate specializing in agricultural product processing. Established in 2017 in Ba Ria – Vung Tau, the facility features a warehousing capacity of 80,000 tons.
  • An international logistics company with a branch in Ho Chi Minh City, providing comprehensive transportation services including air freight and road transport.
  • A premier software and embedded system development firm serving the automotive, education, and finance sectors. Established in 2010 with over 500 employees, it is recognized as one of the “Best Companies to Work for in Asia.”
  • A high-quality web and application development agency established in 2017, operating under strict Japanese management standards.
  • A subsidiary of a Japanese industrial group located in Binh Duong, manufacturing wiring and heating components for the automotive and home appliance industries to supply global brands.
  • A major footwear manufacturer in Dong Nai (est. 2004), specializing in the production of sports shoes for a leading global brand.
  • A specialized provider of turf management solutions for golf courses and sports fields across Southeast Asia.
  • A professional consulting firm assisting SMEs and large enterprises in Vietnam with transaction reviews, tax compliance, and financial risk management.
  • A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) project focused on community development, funded by major international donors including Sida, the World Bank, and the EU.

I was directly involved in defining the scope and nature of the due diligence engagements. My responsibilities included gathering and assessing financial data and documentation, supervising the team in executing due diligence procedures, discussing key findings with client management, and preparing the Financial Due Diligence reports based on agreed requirements.

  • A leading solar energy enterprise in Vietnam (est. 2018) specializing in the development and operation of rooftop solar projects for Commercial and Industrial (C&I) clients. The company possesses a portfolio exceeding 100 MWp and is backed by major domestic and international investors.
  • A professional cleaning service provider catering to hospitals and government agencies. With a large workforce and rigorous operational protocols, the company ensures safety, hygiene, and strict compliance with medical standards across numerous key healthcare facilities.
  • A Vietnam-based IT offshore development firm (est. 2017) specializing in high-quality web and application software development. The company operates under strict management and quality control by a team of Japanese engineers.

I served as the Project Lead for VAS-to-IFRS conversion engagements. My core responsibilities included strategic planning, conducting gap analysis between VAS and IFRS, designing IFRS-compliant Charts of Accounts, determining necessary adjusting entries, and preparing the final IFRS financial statements. Additionally, I performed final quality assurance reviews to ensure the reasonableness and strict compliance of the reports prior to client delivery.

  • Led the IFRS conversion project for a subsidiary of a Japanese industrial group in Binh Duong, specializing in manufacturing automotive wiring and heating components for home appliances. This engagement enabled the entity to meet international reporting requirements and serve global brands effectively.
  • Executed the IFRS conversion for a major footwear manufacturer in Dong Nai (est. 2004), a key producer for a leading global sports brand, thereby facilitating their integration into the group’s global financial reporting structure.
  • Directed the financial reporting conversion for a specialized provider of turf management solutions for golf courses and sports fields across Southeast Asia, enhancing financial transparency to facilitate international investment attraction.
