Accounting and Tax Consultant (Senior level)

Role and responsibilities

1. Core Responsibilities

  • Assist managers in delivering tax review and tax advisory services to both local and international clients. Prepare and review client deliverables, including research reports, tax advisory reports, tax returns (CIT, PIT, VAT, etc.), and supporting documentation. 
  • Assist managers in implementing accounting service packages for both domestic and international corporate clients. Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, tax reports, and other statutory reports for clients.
  • Participate in supporting corporate advisory engagements, special review assignments, and other tasks as assigned by the department head.
  • Provide timely responses to client queries and recommend practical tax solutions aligned with Vietnamese regulations.
  • Liaise with tax authorities directly or support managers during audits or investigations when required.

2. Team Management & Coaching

  • Allocate tasks appropriately to team members, oversee progress and ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Provide hands-on guidance, supervision, and coaching for junior staff to help them grow and perform effectively.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and internal training activities.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with team members and related departments such as Audit, Outsourcing, etc.

3. Service Improvement & Innovation

  • Contribute ideas to improve service delivery processes and internal workflows to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Assist in the development of training materials, technical articles, or contribute to the development of new services (if needed).

4. Client Relationship Development & Business Development Support

  • Maintain strong relationships with assigned clients to build trust and encourage continued engagement with Crowe.
  • Participate in the development of new service lines or support business development activities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Professional requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Economics, or related fields;
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in tax, audit, or accounting (preferably in consulting firms);
  • Skills & Qualifications:
  • Good English skills (speaking & writing), able to work with specialized documents and international customers.
  • Passionate and capable of effectively performing the tasks described above.
  • Eager to establish a long-term partnership and grow with the company.
  • Willing to travel within the country, if necessary.
